Rant for 2/4/10

Remember the two millions jobs Bambi claimed credit for “creating or saving” in his State of the Union address?  I wonder if he’s going to revise it down to 1.2 million (fictitious) jobs now?  Yep, when they release the annual revision to the employment numbers tomorrow it’s expected to show a downward drop of over 800,000.  I wonder how Bambi will find a way to spin this one.  $10 says it’s…wait for it…Bush’s fault.

Bambi, Pelosi, and Reid have proved that they didn’t learn anything from the Massachusetts Miracle and the governor’s elections in Virginia and New Jersey.  Matter of fact, they’re sticking their heads in the sand and pressing forward trying to shove this country to the left.  A lot of their fellow dumocrats,  however, aren’t that blind.  In a desperate effort to save their cushy offices they are running their campaigns…away from Bambi and specifically his budget.  Heh.  Since several of the are in the Senate, it will be interesting to see how they vote on it.  Will their own self-interest overcome their allegiance to “The One”?  Will they yield to Pelosi and Reid and prove their objections were merely posturing and grandstanding?  We’ll see.

Scary news item of the day: The IRS is soliciting bids for 60 tricked-out shotguns.  No big deal, it’s for their “Criminal Investigation Division”.  Huh?  Oh, OK, they mainly investigate narcotics cases.  Wait a minute, don’t we have the DEA and FBI to do that?

The good news of the day: Domestic fallout from ClimateGate.  A panel at Penn State has said that further investigation needs to be done on Michael Mann, author of the infamous “hockey stick” graph.  I wonder why the deadstream media hasn’t reported on this?  I just can’t figure it out…
